One of my neighbor has brought in her CPU for a check-up. I asked her what happened before she bring it to me but she doesn't have time to tell me something except for the boot error she encounter during POST.
So, i proceeded to check her CPU. I put the power on, then listen to any abnormal behavior and the error appears on the post. This means that I have to opened the case and see further if all peripherals are in order. I suspected that it may be the HDD or the IDE cable itself that went wrong or, maybe the Motherboard. I first checked the IDE cable by trying an extra one I have. It opened! I let it opened for a few hours to see if will work normally. After a couple of hours, I decide to put it off and clean the dust inside it using the clean paint brush. But then when I opened it again, only CD-ROM is detected but not the HDD. I began to doubt and so I tried to repair the HDD using the HDD Regenerator. Keyboard error exist when I tried to interrupt the regeneration process for almost 7 hours. It was detecting the bad sectors at that moment which it finds almost 19,556 bad sectors, when i suddenly cancelled the process because I'm getting tired already. I regretted by doing so.
Now, everytime I opened the CPU, the error is there. I could not even proceed to configure the BIOS due to that keyboard error. I could not press F1 or Del to go to Bios setup. What should I do? If I tried to make an attempt by pressing F1 nor Del a beep sounds appear 3 times. Would it be that the motherboard is bad? I tried to plug and unplug the keyboard but nothing happened. And the moment I tried also to reset the bios or remove the battery additional error appeared. What went wrong?
I would like to hear comments and suggestions.
