Restoring Windows 7 Starter Back To Initial Stage

Many of us preferred buying some sort of netbooks like the Samsung NP-N102S without considering some disadvantages. This model is pre-installed with Samsung Recovery Solution 5. Well, it's much cheaper than the usual laptop but I guess it has few limited features. If you own one, then you have to know the step in restoring it to initial stage or to install a fresh copy of windows. If for the first time you encountered a corrupted registry or some minor problems, you can do a recovery by yourself using your manuals. By referring to your manual, you can saved enough from any expense of letting others do the recovery or installation.

By the way if you want to replace Starter with Ultimate, just go to bios setup, press F2 to access bios settings and change boot order. You can use a flash drive or external CD/DVD ROM. Surprisingly, you can't find an option to change the boot order as we supposed unlike desktop or laptops which you can configure so as to perform formatting or installing fresh copy of windows. Maybe I was just a bit confused or what. But some said that you have to press ESC key to select boot option. No matter how I tried to press ESC key instantly, It doesn't appear for configuration. Anyway, I didn't tried that much  since our purpose is just to restore or do some recovery

Restart your netbook and press F4. Then, You can restore it using Samsung Recovery Solution 5. First,  try to do the basic recovery to leave your important files intact. If using the basic recovery system will not work, try restoring it to its initial stage which may delete all the files in it. Meaning, it will restore your computer to an initial stage without any other software installed. It will take at least 10 minutes or more depending on the situation.

After the complete restoration, it will restart twice and will go further by installing the necessary drivers for it to operate properly as if you're installing it for the first time.

So its better to back-up all your files to avoid wasting time in recovering your files from hard disk drive.
