Computer Suddenly Restart

Image of a Western Digital 250Gb SATA Hard Dri...Image via Wikipedia
You might wonder why sometimes all of a sudden a computer restarts without knowing what the problem was? I've encountered that few weeks ago. One of my neighbor and my cousin, got a problem regarding this. They brought to me their CPU's for check-up. Likely, I troubleshoot them in the normal way I did, just to identify the basic reasons why it does not open or an error messages appears restarting the computer again and again.

Sometimes, common problems may arise from a dusty memory or a weak video card. Or it might be that the thermal paste between your heat sink and processor has dried up. But to be sure enough, better check your computers health by pressing F2 or Delete key to proceed to Bios Setup. Look for the PC Health or CPU Temp to see whether CPU is overheating which is the reason why computer restarts after a few minutes or so or shutdown instantly.

However, if you'd already done in the bios setup and don't find anything wrong with the CPU temperature, or in the memory card, most likely the problem is in the hard drive or HDD. Perhaps try Chkdsk Utility, it might solved the problem. If you can't use Chkdsk in that CPU, try it into another CPU but make sure to set the pin into SLAVE to avoid conflict. Automatically, it will check your hard drive for bad files sector then will try to recover or delete those bad files. After the Chkdsk, take it back to its original CPU and turn it on. it should start windows normally and if not reformat it, which is the last option (windows is corrupted).

Remove Virus from your memory or USB

I've been once searching for the best way to remove virus from memory or USB. All I know is to use an anti-virus like AVG, Norton, Avira (Free Version) and some sort of it. But I don't really know a lot about hidden viruses. I need to know how to remove virus from removable devices other than the virus I usually encounter in my computer. A lot of people don't mind about viruses from their memory so when they connect it to another computer , it will automatically infect the said PC specially if no anti-virus is present. Unfortunately, you can't detect if you're infected or not unless you used an anti-virus. But still, using anti-virus is not a guarantee and it's impossible to eliminate them as well without learning how to really remove it.

Now, I learned another idea from someone who freely shared it to us. It may seem basic, but I admit I really don't know about it. This is about the use of command prompt or CMD.

Take note about the image. So, to make hidden files appear, you have to type as shown above. If your memory is in drive I, just type DIR /ah. Then, files in that directory will appear as encircled above. Then, one by one make it to appear in the windows explorer by typing Attrib "FILENAME" -r -a -s -h. Type the exact format (considering Capital and small letters). Then, look into your windows explorer and you'll find all the files there.

Notice that when you see a file type as FILE FOLDER that's ok but when it is an APPLICATION TYPE, don't click and delete it if possible.

Hope This help.
